Tubular Thimble is made with strong tubular construction and galvanized or thermoplastic powder coating for longer service life. It is heavy duty and usable for wire rope and synthetic ropes, also know as semi-closed thimble. Tubular Thimble Pipe Thimbles are stronger than the standard thimbles and offer better protection for ropes. Gusset is welded to thimble on one side to prevent the thimble from collapsing.

Productive process and workshop:
1. Raw material preparation
(1) Material selection: According to the use requirements and performance characteristics of the main chain ring, select the appropriate alloy material, such as alloy steel containing chromium, nickel, molybdenum and other elements, to ensure that the material has good strength, toughness, corrosion resistance and other properties. Common materials are alloy steel such as A342.
(2) Inspection and acceptance: Strict inspection of the purchased raw materials, including chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, metallographic structure inspection, etc., to ensure that the materials meet the design requirements and related standards.
(3) Cutting: According to the size and weight requirements of the main chain ring, use cutting equipment (such as flame cutting machine, plasma cutting machine, sawing machine, etc.) to cut the raw material into a suitable blank, and the cutting size should consider the processing allowance during the forging process.
2. forge
(1) Heating billet: the billet is heated to the appropriate forging temperature range, different alloy materials forging temperature is different, generally around 1000ºC-1200ºC. The heating method is usually gas heating furnace, electric heating furnace, etc., to ensure uniform heating of the billet.
(2) Pre-forging: Put the heated billet into the forging equipment (such as air hammer, friction press, hydraulic press, etc.) for preliminary forging, through several upsetting, drawing and other operations, improve the internal organization of the billet, make it more dense and uniform, and lay the foundation for the subsequent forming forging.
(3) Forming forging: The special forging die is used to further forge the pre-forged blank, so that it gradually forms the basic shape of the main chain ring. In the forging process, it is necessary to strictly control the forging ratio, forging speed, forging pressure and other parameters to ensure the dimensional accuracy and internal quality of the main chain ring.
(4) Trimming: The forged main chain ring may have flash, burr and other defects, need to use punching machine, grinder and other equipment to trim, remove excess material, make the surface of the main chain ring smooth, size in line with the design requirements.
Heat treatment
(5) Quenching: the forged main chain ring is heated above the critical temperature, and is cooled rapidly after holding for a certain time to obtain high-strength tissues such as martensite and improve the strength and hardness of the main chain ring. The quenching cooling medium is usually water, oil or other special quenching agent, and the control of cooling speed is crucial to the performance of the main chain ring.
(6) Tempering: There is a large internal stress inside the main chain ring after quenching, and the organization is unstable, and it needs to be tempered. Tempering is to heat the main chain ring to a certain temperature range below the critical temperature, and slowly cool it after holding it for a period of time to eliminate internal stress, stabilize the organization, improve toughness, and improve the comprehensive mechanical properties of the main chain ring.
3. machining
(1) Roughing: Using lathe, milling machine, drilling machine and other mechanical processing equipment, the main chain ring after heat treatment is roughed, and the connecting hole and mounting surface of the main chain ring are processed, leaving a processing margin of about 0.5mm-1mm for subsequent finishing.
(2) Finishing: The use of high-precision processing equipment and advanced processing technology, such as CNC machining center, to finish the main chain ring to ensure that the dimensional accuracy of the connecting hole, surface roughness and the overall dimensional accuracy and shape and position tolerance of the main chain ring meet the design requirements.
(3) Surface treatment: According to the use environment and performance requirements of the main link, the surface of the main link is treated, such as electroplating, hot dip galvanizing, spraying anti-corrosion coating, etc., in order to improve the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the main link and extend the service life.
4. Quality inspection
(1) Appearance inspection: Use visual inspection or tools such as magnifying glass to check the appearance of the main chain ring to see whether there are cracks, sand holes, pores, lack of meat and other defects, and whether the surface roughness meets the requirements.
(2) Size measurement: Use measuring tools (such as calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring instruments, etc.) to measure the key dimensions of the main chain ring to ensure that the size deviation is within the range specified in the design and standards.
(3) Mechanical properties test: According to relevant standards and requirements, the mechanical properties of the main link are tested, including tensile test, impact test, hardness test, etc., to verify whether the main link meets the strength, toughness and other performance indicators required for use.
(4) Non-destructive testing: The use of non-destructive testing technology, such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, penetration testing, etc., to detect the internal defects of the main chain ring, timely find the possible cracks, inclusions and other defects, to ensure the quality and safety of the main chain ring.
5. Assembly and packaging
(1) Assembly: Assemble the verified main chain ring with other supporting parts (such as pin, cotter pin, etc.) to ensure that the connection is firm and reliable, and the main chain ring can be used normally after assembly.
(2) Packaging: After cleaning the assembled main chain ring, appropriate packaging materials (such as wooden boxes, cartons, plastic films, etc.) are used for packaging to prevent damage and corrosion during transportation and storage. At the same time, the specification, model, quantity and production batch of the main chain ring are marked on the package.
