The JIS F2017 Panama Chock is a crucial mooring equipment designed in accordance with the Japanese standard JIS F2017. It serves as a guide for rope mooring lines on large vessels, playing a significant role during the mooring process of ships.

Types:

• Deck Mounted Type: Marked as type AC or type AP. Type AC is made of cast steel, while type AP is made of steel plate. For example, Panama chock, type AC 310 or JIS F2017 AC 310.

• Bulwark Mounted Type: Marked as type BC or type BP. Type BC is made of cast steel, and type BP is made of steel plate.

Material:

• The material for the cast steel part conforms to JIS G 5101 - SC 42 (carbon steel castings), and the equivalent Chinese material is cast steel ZG 230 - 450. For the steel plate part, it can comply with JIS G 3101 - SS 41 (rolled steel for general structure) or JIS G 3106 - SM 41 (rolled steel for welded structure), with an equivalent Chinese material of steel plate Q 235.

Finish:

• The surface treatment involves sandblasting to a level of 2.5, followed by applying one layer of shop primer. This treatment helps to protect the chock from corrosion and wear, ensuring its durability and long - term performance.

Dimensions:

• Different nominal sizes are available, such as 310mm, 360mm, 400mm, 450mm, and 500mm. Each size has corresponding detailed dimensions for various parts of the chock, including length (L, L1, L2, etc.), diameter (D), height (H1, H2, etc.), and radius (R1, R2, etc.).
