Types of Synthetic Fibers for Ropes

Advantages

Disadvantages
- Sensitivity to High Temperatures: Some synthetic fiber ropes are sensitive to high temperatures and can be deformed, melted or even damaged at high temperatures. For example, when in contact with open flames or high-temperature objects, their performance may be affected.
- Abrasion in Some Cases: Although they have good wear resistance in general, under certain extreme conditions of high-intensity friction, synthetic fiber ropes may still experience wear, which may affect their service life and safety.

3. Question: What should be noted in the maintenance of synthetic fiber mooring ropes?
Answer: Synthetic fiber mooring ropes should avoid contact with acid - base chemicals. Regularly rinse them with fresh water and keep them dry during storage.
