Internal steel core foam filled Marine Mooring Buoy
We supply mooring buoys with structural tie bars with a minimum breaking load ranging from 2 tonne to over 450 tonne. This production technology is to mould the buoy bar structural members directly in to the buoy hull thereby eliminating the problem of retro fitting these members. This buoy has a much higher strength and durability than the traditional rota-moulding process.
Structural composition
1.Housing: Usually made of high-strength, corrosion-resistant materials, such as reinforced polyurethane elastomer, linear polyethylene (LLDPE), etc.. The outer layer of the enhanced polyurethane elastomer has high wear resistance, fatigue resistance and UV degradation resistance, which can protect the internal structure from Marine environment erosion; The LLDPE shell has the characteristics of high gloss, high strength, bright color, anti-impact, etc.
2.Foam filling layer: Generally use closed cell PE/EVA elastic foam and other materials. The foam is impermeable, high-strength and provides good buoyancy and cushioning properties, even if the shell is punctured, the buoy will not absorb water and sink.
3.Internal steel core and connectors: Some floats have an internal steel core to provide better support and balance. Both ends are equipped with various connectors, such as galvanized or painted steel rings, cross-shaped connectors, quick release hooks, etc., for connection with mooring chains, anchors and other equipment.
